Deck Redux

This project was for a mid-century-esque home with a deck with center posts, that were being heaved up be tree roots.

We decided to span the opening, by strengthening the joists by adding wood, thus stiffening the structure, so that the center post was not necessary. Mission accomplished - so far, so good.
